The Kount on the Mersey

Ferry Cross the Mersey - Gerry and the Pacemakers … What a great song from my childhood memories but I had no idea what a Ferry was, much less the Mersey. But I could hear the passion, the love this young man had for his city. And even though its been 35 years since this city was producing some if not the best rock music on the planet I could feel it on the banks of the Mersey river.
Yesterday I went to the Albert Docks in Liverpool. I saw the Liver (pronounced liva) building and of course the Beatles story … what a bunch of memories … I have always loved the Beatles. I have to say it the impact that those 4 young men had on the world blows my feeble mind. I remember the first time I saw them, which was on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. My sister was screaming in Beatlemania fashion but I think she wasn't as interested in the Beatles as she was in irritating my father. And do you remember how long their hair was?

The picture I sent is the Ferry Crossing the Mersey
