What the equation is doing
This is a verbogeometry piece. It runs the analytic geometry distance formula through seven dimensions — one for each deity — and every one of those dimensions is a gradation running out of confusion toward the point where a deity exists.
The seven are named on the piece: Allah, Buddha, Jesus, Spider Woman, Vishnu, Yahweh, Zeus. Each term is a difference — confusion minus a deity — squared; the seven are summed and the root taken. That is the distance formula doing exactly what it does on a flat page, only seven times over.
The path it measures is therefore a path from confusion to the place where the seven meet. Seven ones, added, come to one.
